The Beauty Check (Dedication to MS)

'You're beautiful' may sound just like another James Blunt number you hear Daniel Siow sing in class (especially when he sits next to you), but there is more to the meaning of these lyrics than meets the eye. Ladies all around the world believe that being slim, thin, 36-32-36 is the perfect figure that wins them that hot-sexy-mama label. But what's more important is not how one looks, but instead how one acts, and how one reacts to another's actions.

While your looks count, they don't last. But your heart, and the way you treat people around you, are sweet somethings that cannot be erased that easily. Notice the blooming change in our society today. Every form of media potray men with ABS and women with HOUR-GLASS figures to be the ULTIMATE goal, the whole enchilada of our life. The result? Boys die from taking too much steriods to boost growth hormones, just because they think they are short. Sweet girls that have promising futures eat less to 'keep in shape', resulting in nightmares such as Bulimia and Aneroxia Nervosa.

So here is my question, is this the way people see the word 'beautiful'? Is being beautiful a gamble, where only one in a million can own that million dollar chick-look? Or is beauty in the eye of its beholder? Think about it.

For me, being beautiful is just being yourself. Don cha think?

This message is specially for its intended viewr(s) only. So if I offended anyone, my bad, and a billion soreeeeees.
PS: To MS, eat more arh! Later become cheese stick nodoby wan't! Blehh!

It is strange how one man dare to voice out his opinion in this ever criticizing world, yet this defines the measures of a man; a man I would respect. It is true that beauty is the aspect that strongly influences ones career and ultimately his or hers future. However, very few are voicing out bits of disagreement, in hope to change the society and the problems that are caused by such ideology.

An effort I would say?
Will I? Perhaps.

This effort might not be fruitful, but the drive and determination of individuals that solely believe in this might make this effort worth the time and energy. I too believe that this issue must be fought for as the consequences on the long run are truly devastating. Children are being brain-washed into the realm of fashion, both boys and girls in different yet a much closely related genre.

Today, in the streets, in the malls, or the public parks, in schools, in companies and offices, and tragically even in ones own house, fashion seems to control the minds of every individual that are intellectual developed from exposure. An example would be all major metropolitans in this planet, shockingly, this is ‘an’ example, ‘all the metropolitans of this planet’. Strange how such useless aspect of life has evolved to a virtue of the modern world.

I have said much, but the facts and statistics are absent. Am I just randomly agreeing to an issue without an in depth knowledge of the subject? Certainly not, I have more than sufficient knowledge of this subject. Prove to this, young women are being engaged in the thirst for fashion that eventually leads to fame and success. Sadly, the price the pay, gastric and malnutrition due to excessive diet. On the long run, very weak women in their later part of life. Mothers and daughters that are more concern in beauty than time towards the well-being of the family. An utmost lost in feminism worldwide. Just imagine your mother being addicted to fashion, shopping and sales will be her life, and what will be yours? The boys are not left from this madness as well, they too are concerned about fashion that they destroy beauty that is bestowed naturally, a gift from our DNA. Beauty from evolution is disrespected to the beauty designed by a creative man. Boys are piercing and tattooing their body of natural masculinity for the recognition of being ‘cool’. Is this beauty?

The newest wave of fashion is by far the worst fashion ideology ever, which is the label ‘hunk’ and ‘hot’. Men are pumping their biological system with synthetic steroid in order to achieve the body structure of a hunk, which are extra-large muscles that are over-ripped. Women are undergoing plastic surgery to achieve both facial and body beauty; the sharp nose, thin and dark eyebrows, luscious lips, large and firm breast, abs, a curvy waist, smooth jaw-line, and so much more. Why? Simply to be accepted in this society.

Contradict to this matter, I also agree that fashion sense is a must-have-sense of an individual that strives and desires to achieve the pinnacle of success, as only individuals that are capable in bringing out themselves can get promoted in the hierarchy of the corporate world. Yet, all it takes is only an hour of exercise, everyday, together with a healthy green diet to ensure the body than is lean as well as athletic. If this body structure is suited with a classy yet elegant sense of fashion, one will look beautiful, naturally. The use of excess cosmetic can be minimized to the basic lipstick, compact powder and eye-liner for the ladies. The males just need a clean shave and a neat hair. This is beauty to the eye of the beholder, in this case the entire society. The society however is also obsessed with the new wave of fashion.
Change can be brought to this system. A system runs in a random algorithm, but the existence of a unique pattern that outsmarts the system can eventually cause the entire system to change by influencing other data in the system. Similar to the concept of a computer virus affecting the routine cycle of the computer, this unique change will the very few people that see the importance of minimizing fashion outrage in the system, in this case the society. In simple words, the few people that voice out can change such misconception of fashion. Therefore, though people comment on such people, the courage to voice out will lead to a change, not drastic but effective.

The only point that must be emphasized in the society to be an eye-opener is the side effect of fashion ideology that is drastic and simple steps to overcome this addiction. Other simpler ways to be fashionably up-to-date can be taught to the society. This effort is not much but the consequences of this divine act is a heavenly beauty, beauty that is natural and everlasting, and most importantly, a beauty in which one is none other than oneself.

I end my comment which a simple thank you for your effort in voicing out your opinion which I believe is worth your time and energy.

Thank You.

Alrite alrite u crazy buckhead! U made me come on9!! Whoah! Alrite here's my answer:

As it may seem downright necessary to voice out your 2 cents worth of oppinions that has so filled up my comments area, I have only this to say - beauty is what meets the eye, but enforcing and changing someone else's existing oppinion about what beauty should be like is just wrong. I love the way you spoke about the idealogy on fashion and all, but when it comes right down to it, this system is made entirely by who other then ourselves? This system might be there for the wrong reasons, yet its existance is vital in ensure there will be a need for waking up every morning and look yourself in the mirror, and say hey, 'There you go! I'm ready for the world!'

What would life be without fashion? Early men could have been satisfied with just a banana leaf to cover their behinds, but one thing stopped them. One thing kept them improving. This one thing made them move on, strive forward, improvise, modernize, made them think about the posibilities. As do we not? This THING is creativity, and the need to move forward from where we are, and fashion is just one of the things that were given birth from this idealogy.

The only reason we were made to drown in the wrath of this entire fashion thinggy is not the whole idealogy itself, i reapeat, not the idealogy itself, but instead, out of fear. Yes, that's right. Its fear that has caused practically everything vice and evil in this wretched world. People fear that if they do not put on that summer collection 2 hundred and fifty dollar nightgown, they are not going to 'fit in'. People who do not own that red devilish Prada or Gucci is going to be the laughing stock of the company. No, my dear fren, people do not worship fashion because of the media, they worship it out of fear. The fear to be part of this crazy circle of existance and to be one with everybody else. Nobody yearns the feeling of being lonely, and that is a rason strong enough to make people to almost anything, which leads to all the problems I have posted on my post.

Yes, indeed it is sad to see so many people drown in this calamity. But people make choices, maybe not always the wrong ones even AFTER they had been told. Pills still get taken, plastic surgery still lives on, and all this is not out of the system, but once again, out of fear.

Thus, I have to agree as to everything you say about our world today, and I thank you for your concern on this matter. But still, this world will not be persuaded to change with just a man's yearn to make it happen (now two).

As long as people learn to understand that living is not about achieving more than you will ever need, and not fall into the need of persuing the best just because you want to show others that you are competent, life will be beautiful. What is wrong with a plain white T over a designer Body Glove? ^^ Save the rest for a rainy day, and you;re still a richer man.

I end my comment by saying this - You want the world to change? Look in a mirror. Start with the person you look at.

PS: Leave another 3000 word comment and I'll have you're head! Oh btw, you get a 10/10. ^^
